As part of the growing meta verse, Virbela handles spacial collaboration by bringing people together in virtual offices, spaces, and campus where people can talk, share their screens, browse the web, chat, and much more. With a focus on scale Virbela is the enterprise solution for large companies and events while also being useful for small teams and hangouts.
My Involvement
I was hired as a senior platform engineer to improve the architecture of Virbela to allow for large scale development and rapid deployment. In addition I have championed performance while at Virbela helping us to see the bigger picture of performance from CPU, memory, and network usage. Currently I am leading development on systems to utilize Unity's bundles that will help us with download size, memory usage, and deployment time. I have also touched many other various systems in the project including, but not limited to UI, Networking, Voice, Editor Tooling, and Avatars.
