Afterworld
Overview
Afterworld is an idea to make a procedurally generated city builder. So far I have procedurally generated islands that populate with trees and a day and night cycle. I wanted to make this game look good since I usually focus more on mechanics. I learned a lot about how lighting works and what tricks the industry uses to make the light look just right. Originally I had made just a voxel based generator that was going to be a first person survival game, but I like the challenge of getting AI to work in a procedural world.
