My Involvement
I was hired as a the lead engineer for this project. I oversaw technical development from start of the project in early 2023 when it was a mere port of the original game to its launch in 2024. I had a hand in almost every aspect of game development and I helped manage engineering work for the game across all platforms. This is my first release on Steam and I learned a lot implementing localization, online play, leaderboards, and user generated content. In addition to game development I also managed our version control system including Dev Ops work for CI/CD. This was vital to our release on Steam as it automated builds that allowed us to code review better and deploy faster. Due to the small size of our team I was also able to contribute to design of the game which especially was true for multiplayer where I lead the early prototyping.
